Mission Statement

Geophysics and Seismology: We focus on elastic waves that propagate through all parts of the Earth, providing information on interior Earth structure and subsurface processes. 
This satisfies societal needs, e.g., for strengthening the use of geothermal energy in Europe, and for monitoring the future international nuclear test-ban-treaty.
