Atmospheric Transport Processes
The Atmospheric Transport Processes Group develops the Lagrangian particle dispersion model FLEXPART and studies all aspects of transport in the troposphere - from transport of energy and water vapour to greenhouse gases, aerosols, microplastics, and radionuclides. The group also uses inverse methods for determining emission fluxes based on atmospheric observations. A new research field is the study of the impact of a growing space industry on the atmosphere.
