Aim of the course was the geophysical exploration at the Schneealpe plateau (Styria), which is located within the catchment area of the Vienna water supply. Ground penetrating radar, EM-mapping, seismics, geoelectrics and gravimetry where among the applied methods. Despite the remote location (1700 m a.s.l., external power supply needed), the course was very satisfactory and the acquired data seem very promising. Thank goes to the keeper of the Schneealpenhaus (Franz Leistentritt), who was very helpful and contributed a lot the success of the week.
