Abstract

The Lagrangian model FLEXPART simulates the transport, diffusion, dry and wet deposition, radioactive decay and first order chemical reactions of atmospheric tracers. The model has been recently updated, both technical and in the representation of physico-chemical processes. We describe the changes, document the most recent input and output files, provide working examples and introduce some testing capabilities. The model is described in the article "The Lagrangian particle dispersion model FLEXPART version 10.4" by Pisso et al. (2019) published in Geoscientific Model Development (Geosci. Model Dev., 12, 1–43, 2019 doi.org/10.5194/gmd-12-1-2019).
