Theoretical Meteorology
Welcome to the pages of the Theoretical Meteorology research group!
The research group of Theoretical Meteorology at the Department of Meteorology and Geophysics focuses on the theoretical description and numerical modelling of mesoscale and microscale physical processes in the Earth's atmosphere. The group is also concerned with the evaluation and correction of observational data, notably those obtained from radiosondes. Beyond that, fundamental problems of hydrodynamics as well as climate-related issues in the High Alps are addressed in the associated Theoretical Meteorology Research Forum.
